Reinvent Turns 5 – From Lockdown Lounge to Boutique Bliss

Can you believe it’s been five whole years since Reinvent began? It honestly feels like just yesterday I was working from my breakfast bar in lockdown, starting the Reinvent Facebook page and collecting clothing from friends & lovely local ladies. I’d host open days from home in Liffey Springs whenever we were allowed to socialise again — and that’s how it all kicked off.

Not long after, we made the leap into a teeny tiny shop on Gerald Street. I still remember so many of you walking in and saying, “You’re going to grow out of this place!” And me, confidently going, “No I won’t!” Cue… 8 months later, we signed the lease at Vernon Drive. 😅

It’s been a wild ride — and one I’ve absolutely loved. I genuinely never wake up and think, “I don’t want to go to work.” I get so much joy from helping you lovely ladies find pieces that make you feel amazing, and I still get the biggest buzz when someone tries on a pair of jeans I've recommended and says, “OMG these are PERFECT!”

Three years ago, Mr Reinvent officially joined the team. He does all the photographing for the website and has an eagle eye for quality control. He’s tough (in the best way) and he shares my passion for both fashion and sustainability — Reinvent wouldn’t be the same without him!

Some of you have been with us since the very beginning (thank you!), and some of you are brand new to the Reinvent family (welcome!). Whether you shop, consign, or cheer us on, you are all such an important part of this business — and I’m so grateful for you.

Reinvent has continued to evolve, and now with Reinvent Your Style, the styling side of the business, it feels like the most natural next step. So many of you told me to just go for it, and I’m so glad I listened. Helping you sort your wardrobes, define your style, and make getting dressed each day feel FUN (not stressful) is the best feeling.

Here’s to five fabulous years — and the many more to come.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
