Building My Winter Capsule Wardrobe!

I’m in the process of building my winter capsule wardrobe, and I want to share how I mix pre-loved and new pieces to create a wardrobe that works for me.

As you know, I mostly buy pre-loved because I get first dibs on all the amazing items that come into the shop, and I love giving them a second life. But I also try to turn my wardrobe over quickly to keep things fresh. Sometimes, though, there’s just something I really want for my wardrobe that I can’t find pre-loved—like this winter, I’m on the hunt for a single-breasted charcoal blazer.

I can already hear you saying, “Aimee, how could you possibly need another blazer?” Well, hear me out! 😅 I don’t have a charcoal one yet, and I’m after a slightly oversized style to layer knitwear and vests underneath. See, I have a plan! 😉

The beauty of building a capsule wardrobe is that it helps me ensure all my pieces work together and I can easily mix and match. Having a plan for my wardrobe means I can be more intentional about what I buy, making sure each piece fits seamlessly with the others.

Plus, I’ve sold quite a few of my blazers through the shop over the past year and have a couple more coming up to sell soon. Not my pink one, or my red one, or my purple check one (those are staying!). But a few others aren’t getting the love they deserve anymore, so it's time to let them go. I love a good wardrobe refresh!

If you're feeling a little lost when it comes to building your own capsule wardrobe, I’d love to help you through Reinvent Your Style. Whether you need to start from scratch or just refine what you already have, I can guide you in selecting versatile pieces that work together and help you create a wardrobe that’s simple, stylish, and full of outfits you love.

How do you mix new and pre-loved pieces in your own wardrobe? Let me know in the comments below! 💬
